ABOUT OUR CHURCHES
- These churches have come together to ensure the emotional
well-being of those served. They serve each other, other churches
and the community. Together, these churches become a strong
army combating denial, distress and de-stigmatizing the need
for emotional fitness in our churches and community.
The churches involved in this initial project include:
Christ Baptist Church (S. Parkway,
Southeast Memphis)
Cummings Street Baptist Church (Whitehaven)
First Baptist Broad (Binghamton)
New Directions (Hickory Hill Area)
Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church (McLemore, Southwest Memphis)
The Healing Center on Tchulahoma Rd. in Oakhaven serves
all the churches and clients as the Navigation, Group, Administrative
and Training Site for the program and churches. Bishop William
M. Young, a Senior Pastor, Licensed Professional Counselor,
Clinical Pastoral Therapist and Licensed Marriage and Family
Therapist, is Supervisor and Trainer for the project and
his wife, Pastor Dianne Young is the Project Director.
